Location was top!Friendly staff!Boutique hotel vibes.
The smell of mold in the building. The food took too long to arrive and was poorly cooked and hygiene was also an issue!
A delightful four poster bed and a wonderfully wonky floor only added to the charm of the Castle Inn. Breakfast and dinner were both superb and staying right in Castle Combe, what's not to love about that. Wonderful.
This was our second stay and was very good. It was a very hot night and we liked that we were given two fans for our room.
We felt unsafe in shower that was inside the bath because the bath wasn’t a flat enough surface and there wasn’t a non slip bath mat. Also there was no grab rail for safety which would have been helpful. We both felt like we could fall out if not very careful.
The outside of the building is chocolate box pretty. The staff are all very helpful. There’s no parking in the village but plenty of parking at the Manor House a short walk away.
We drove into the village and there was literally tourists everywhere, constantly outside the hotel. Don’t stay here if you like peace and tranquility, but it’s great if you like crowds. Our attic bedroom had far too much unnecessary furniture squeezed in. The shower would be awful for a tall person as the roof slants right through it. The room and the village are stunning. A fairytale scene. Well looked after as well.
The times you can have a meal are specific and there is a gap of a few hours when no place serves food. The fact that there are only a couple of places that offer food further limits your choices but for such a small village you can expect that there will be only a couple of places to eat but the serving gap is a bit of an inconvenience foe people that may need to eat at a specific time due to med...Read more
Full of character and in excellent surroundings full of history but also quiet areas to walk
Maybe the stairs but it is to be expected from the period buildings
Loved The location and the easy access to the dedicated parking. The room was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. The great in room tea and coffee facilities.
Liked everything about this stay! Friendly attentive staff - especially the warm welcome by Denzil. Great food.
