Michael, May 2025
Pros (+) Location and room was good and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons (-) However a few issues re the toilet not working properly and one day with no treats provided. A minor point but sometimes its the little things that matter. Also I asked whether the complementary chocolates in room upon arrival were gluten free but received no response. Parking was provided by the hotel on a first come first served basis and was an additional £20 per night!

Douglas, May 2025
Pros (+) From the moment we arrived at the hotel i was impressed by the building and the welcome we received. The public areas of the hotel and room itself were decorated in a very classy style and the hotel was immaculate in terms of presentation and cleanliness. We only had breakfast at the the hotel on 2 days but the menu choice was excellent and the quality of the food was first class.
Cons (-) I find it hard to be critical at all, but if i was being picky I would have liked a slightly larger en suite bathroom with the room. The bathroom we had was immaculately clean there just wasnt much space to sit out toileteries etc

Pros (+) Ideal location for visiting Edinburgh attractions and convenient for meeting local friends. Wonderful to have private parking in the centre of a city.
Cons (-) Everything was perfect: great breakfast, helpful staff, well appointed room. We think the 'muzak' at breakfast was intrusive and could have been better chosen.
