The room itself was perfect and above expectations, the view was incredible
The staff member that checked us in was a disappointing experience. We arrived early by 30 mins, and she was taking alcohol inside and restocking and told us to wait until 3pm because she’s closed. Clean and tidy, had everthing we expected. Great having restaurant onsite.

View from the room is stunning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were unable to have breakfast at the hotel because we had to leave very early for the Franz Josef Glacier hike, but they offered us the option of breakfast tray which we could take to our room the night before.
The location was amazing, staff was friendly too!
The included breakfast didn’t have the option of any cooked food, not even cooked eggs.
Everything about The Bealey Hotel was excellent!! Location, views, staff, included breakfast and the beds were the best we slept in throughout our whole South Island trip!!!
