Excellent breakfasts. Great (Argentinian) diner. Very nicely located next to the a sandy beach and well connected with ferries to other places on the island and the Sandspit. Amazing (and a very friendly) service provided by the staff- particularly Chris.
The only thing was a noise from a banging door next to our room during a windy night.
What a lovely place this is. The rooms were lacking a little of the extras I would generally expect for this level of cost, and a Seaview room had no view from the room of the sea, only the balcony which was very disappointing, but I have to say the staff were exceptional and turned my initial feelings of the place it’s head. If you book, ensure you get the room you are expecting and the rest of y...Read more
Food exceptional good. Camilla rocks! Very good selection of food and perfectly cooked! Highly recommendable.
All very good, but: The building with the units has poor soundproof, so you may be able to enjoy your neighbour's sexual excitements :)
The location was spectacular - right on a private, cove beach. The hosts (Chris & Camilla) we’re warm and welcoming. The food was outstanding.
Nothing. The wifi is marginal, but you don’t go there to do zoom calls!. It’s fine for email.
Kawau Island and the Beach House are absolutely beautiful. Only 1 1/2 hours away from Auckland but it feels like another world. Chris, Camilla and the rest of the team are doing a great job to look after you. The food is amazing. The rooms are in great shape with nice decoration and all the furniture is very high quality. Definitely recommended.
The location, food, service and the room were all perfect!! Thank you Chris, Camilla and team for an amazing, relaxing weekend. We will be back!
The location is stunning, the staff so friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely amazing!
Loved everything!
Superb hospitality from everyone working there. Exquisite cuisine on par with high end restaurants. Complimentary kayaks and paddle boards. Tastefully decorated beach house. Barrister coffee included in breakfast. 10/10!
One side of the mattress was hollowed, not a big problem for us as we only stayed for two nights. Menu was the same for both days we stayed, not sure if it'd change if we stayed for longer, it wasn't an issue for us as we get to sampled different dishes. Expect to pay a higher price for the meals and it's the only restaurant there (lunch 30+, dinner 75+ excl drinks), there is no fridge or cooking ...Read more
Lovely setting, great food , excellent service. Room spotless as is the whole hotel. Excellent. Highly Recommmended. Whilst not cheap for me it is worth every penny. I absolutely loved the place. And hats off to all the lovely people who work there especially Chris the manager and Camilla the chef. A huge thanks to all.
The only minor, minor downside with the room was a lack of robe and slippers and limited storage / hanging space but far far outweighed by the good stuff. I just know when I go back to bring my own if I want those things and I have no issue with that and appreciate that water is a scarce commodity there and everything has to be brought in from the mainland so completely understand what I assume is...Read more
From the moment Christiano met us on the jetty and carried our bags to our room a mere 1 minute walk away, we were treated like friends. We (luckily) had the whole place to ourselves and were upgraded to a beach view room which had great air conditioning and a heated floor in the bathroom. There were beach towels for us to use and a coffee machine along with echo-friendly toiletries. The food was ...
There was literally nothing that we did not like, we could not fault anything, it was two days of perfection.Read more
