Athens Gate one of our favourite places to stay in Athens. Rooms excellent. Roof-top restaurant and breakfast with a panoramic view of the Acropolis not to be missed.

Wonderful views of the Acropolis from hotel terrace. Excellent breakfast offering many choices. Spacious room with comfortable bedding. Cordial and attentive staff.
The hotel was very friendly, courteous and welcoming
We have specifically expressed a desire in our booking for rooms overlooking, without them we would have booked elsewhere. We didn't hear anything and assumed our request had been met. On arrival we were given rooms that didn't overlook the Acropolis. When we queried this we were told it was just a request. The hotel was fine, but we would have gone elsewhere but for being misled.
This was a return visit as I stayed at the hotel last year which is why I returned. The location is great for me. I was able to do business in the cocktail bar at the restaurant, the view from my room was non existent but the view from the breakfast room is superb. The room is spacious, the bathroom the same. Beds are comfortable, there are some English speaking channels on the TV for news etc so ...

We were so incredibly jet lagged, and the hotel staff was able to get our room ready earlier than expected. I was so grateful for this as we just weren't feeling well after a 9 hour flight. They also have a very nice restaurant, warm and helpful staff, and a fabulous breakfast. I would stay there again as it is so close to all major landmarks.

Hotel modern clean friendly staff until there is an issue they just ignore it am a disabled customer elevator so small could not get electric chair to room
I am a disabled person . the elevator was to small to fit electric chair there are no first floor rooms i had contacted them months in advance called direct i know elevators in old hotels are small never seen this small there answer was to have me rent a wheelchair that is small enough for there elevator so they new this is a problem from past experience I was able to dis assemble and bring up but...Read more
Great location, right in the heart of the city. Attractions were all within walking distance. The rooftop restaurant has a Million$ view of the Acropolis and has very friendly staff
The rooms are not very big
Absolutely great location, staff lovely, food in rooftop restaurant superb. The rooms very spacious, mine overlooked Zeus temple and I got a beautiful sunrise from my room and a lovely sunset from the restaurant.
Only thing I didn't like, was check in at 3 and check out at 11. Although this is standard for all hotels so I wouldnt complain.. and they got my room ready early for me (I arrived very early) and gave me a slightly later check out very helpful.
