The food and service was wonderful. The location was exceptional.
The bungalow was very clean, but the golf cart wasn't wiped down. I had to clean the cart windshield after the rain and dust accumulated.
Truly the only positive here is the staff and the view. Thank you GianCarlos in the bar, Thaw in the bar, Joselyn in the bar, Pedro at dinner, Jose at breakfast, Cameron on the boat, Nicole in the restaurant, the whole crew at the Hangover Bar, Jason with the conch diving, Jerome the tennis pro, Evelyn (our favorite) in the restaurant, Victor our butler, and Ashanti with the electric bikes. Food was awful. No, let me be more specific, it's inedible. Horrible! Requests for food/drinks were not honored (even though sent months ahead of time). Room smells like sewage. AC stopped working in 100 degree weather. No glass bottom kayak as advertised. Not crowded, space to enjoy the beach in private. Gorgeous location accessible directly from the room. Vegetarian options at meals. Mix of activities available as well as leisure time to ensure the surroundings.
Hidden gem, a paradise you must visit once in a life time. Location was perfect and staff were very personal not pretentious, especially loved our butler, Winston, he is truly genuine and trying everything to make your island life luxurious and enjoyable. Definitely worth going back.
We traveled from west coast so flight time to getting to PLS was long but no complaints for ambergris cay.
The fact that you had your own golf cart to explore the island and nothing was off limits.
we got a tour and noticed in some of the larger villa’s there were telescopes but not in the beach front rooms.
I cannot say enough good things about this resort! My husband and I stayed there for the last few days of our honeymoon. First, the staff was top notch. We have stayed at several all inclusive resorts and always loved the staff, but the staff at Ambergris was exceptional. there’s very little not to like! if anything, I would say it’s missing larger accommodations for family of 4, like a real 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom suites.Read more
Hidden gem! If you want to relax and get away from the hustle bustle, this is the place. We absolutely loved everything about this place.
Easier and faster access to drinks if you’re at your villa but again not a big deal because they will bring you drinks through room service.
