Cons (-) On arrival we were kept waiting whilst the chap was making what appeared to be a personal call. Chewing gum probably not the best way to give a good impression .i do not believe he was the appointed receptionist .When we were eventually acknowledged he was very helpful with our luggage and showed us to our room.

Pros (+) The position and views are excellent. The staff are great - Especially the Swiss manager and Columbian(?) Somellier. The pool is pretty. Dinner was good as it is everywhere in Piedmont.
Cons (-) The level of service was poor for this price point (€400 per night). We arrived at the reception and were checked in. Then had to carry our own bags down to our room, down a steep little external alleyway to a modern annexe which to our surprise we were staying in a room that was more like a smart Agriturismo than a luxury boutique hotel.
