A jewel in the Caribbean! This exquisite, historic hotel is in a beautiful setting with every attention to class, style and comfort. The fine dining is gourmet quality perfectly executed. The entire experience was island perfection. We can’t wait to return.
Loved everything
Personal service and such nice people.
Almost everything
Please can the hotel sort out the very slippery tiles around the pool, we saw several people.Dinnner service in the evening was slow although the food when it arrived was fantastic.
We had a lovely time. There was a mixup at check in with our reservation and the staff was quick to accommodate us. They made us feel welcome and went went above and beyond to make it work for us which we appreciated. The hotel is beautiful and a perfect place to relax by a private beach. The food is the best food we’ve had in the BVIs. The pool is beautiful and the cabanas to relax on are luxurio...Read more
Location and very helpful and friendly staff
Nothing
The breakfast was good and the location was nice. They need to make sure the chair cushions are dry after it rains. Got a wet bottom a few times.
I requested that the broken handle (totally missing) on the sliding screen door to our balcony be fixed the first day because it was very hard to open. Also the lamp shade by the bed was torn and missing pieces. Finally the parking was an absolute nightm...Read more
the entire staff, from housekeeping to restaurant staff were exceptional. The general managers Rupert and Andrea went out of their way to make us very comfortable. Complimentary cook to order breakfast was excellent. Dinners were off the charts good.
Airport pick-up would have been nice.
The breakfast was fantastic, included in the room rate we selected - covered an extensive brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday, and was served overlooking the sea with one of the best views anywhere.
We liked everything, probably the best hotel on Tortola
Good location, three nights in good room, good restaurants and some excellent staff,
Badly overpriced, rooms up a steep hill with very poor parking, equipment in room failed and wasn’t fixed despite requests, poor management (overworked?), management wasn’t knowledgeable with respect to our requests for local info, seemed to have limited, narrow focus unhelpful with our requests for rental car access to places
Truly an exceptional little gem. The sugar mill is low key and small which made for a more enjoyable and relaxing stay than large branded hotels. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating and the food was so spectacular we had dinner at the restaurant every night of our stay. Couldn’t recommend this oasis more.
