Pros (+) Excellent location near to town centre and close to train station Schafbergbahn. Wonderful lake view from your room. Spacious and comfortable room with nice big bathroom. Excellent breakfast buffet with good choices of cold and hot dishes. Nice restaurant with good dinner menu. Staff very friendly and helpful
Cons (-) The hotel is closed after 10pm so when we arrived late the first evening there was no food or drink available at the hotel

Pros (+) The location directly at the lake with the view to the Alps from the terrace and the breakfast room was breath takingly beautiful. The privat beach entrance with terrace was gorgious and never crowded. Perfect.

Pros (+) Strandhotel Margaretha is a lovely traditional property with a great view! It is very well located for accessing the old cog train (which takes you to the mountain) and both ferries. Additionally, it is only 5-10 minute walk into the St. Wolfgang town and it’s an easy drive from Salzburg airport. Cons (-) Hotel vibe is not quite "the design vibe" as advertised, more traditional style (nothing wrong with that). The lobby has not been updated as nicely as certain rooms.
