Bedrooms in older, characterful part of hotel have lovely views but lack amenities for such a fine hotel - could not describe them as luxurious, and beds rather uncomfortable. But quirky and interesting.
Food is spectacular. Staff go out of their way to help you and make sure all your needs are met.
Comfortable, spacious & beautiful wheelchair accessible room, lovely views from the room, cleanliness👌🏽, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and meals. I enjoyed reading the history about the place too.

Fantastic hotel - spacious and very clean rooms, friendly staff, and beautiful view from the restaurant and lounge area. We are already planning to come back.
The hotel was great, but remember to check for restaurant availability; Stella Maris is somewhat outside Svendborg center, and Svendborg restarurants are not as high class as Stella Maris (I suppose). it was disappointing that there was no possibility to get a table in the restaurant with 24 hours notice.
In addition to lack of restaurant availability, morning service was quite stressed. Breakfast quality was great (buffet) service.
The property has an exceptionally gorgeous view. Loved the patio, garden and the private pier. The reception and dining areas are elegantly decked and the whole place has a wonderful, sophisticated air. The proximity to Svendborg & Tåsinge is an added advantage. The bed and furnishings are also very comfortable.
The room unfortunately didn't have an A/C so it got really warm at night. Also, the bathroom has a frosted wall feature which looks beautiful but isn't the best for privacy or keeping out the light (at night).
