well located, modern stylish design, great roof top bar, spa. Excellent staff
The hotel is very beautiful! We had a room with a mineral water bath and a view of the old town, and it was wonderful! The location is very convenient—just a short walk to the Gion district, which is great for strolling around, with many restaurants nearby. There is a rooftop bar where you can sit with your feet in warm water and enjoy the view of Kyoto.
On the downside, the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, and you need to reserve the restaurant for dinner in advance. The hotel is expensive.
Every detail was luxurious. I especially loved the in-room onsen, a highlight of my recent trip to Japan.
Nothing comes to mind.
Soaking tub and the views are amazing! Daily restock of refrigerator was a plus. The private entrance in the back is nice.

Comfy beds and in room Onsen, plus view of cherry blossoms on river.

Some staff were wonderful and very helpful but the policies of hotel are not flexible at all. Eg you have to book two days in advance for bfast. There’s no option of coffee with lactose free milk. Not even soy milk. No room service. If I’m paying these prices I do expect some level of room service. No food choices available. There could be better recommendations of where to eat / go from staff. Ou...Read more
