This is a beautiful place to stay! We loved the feel and the decor of the house, and our room was beautifully appointed with very authentic antique furniture and art. The grounds are lovely with interesting plants and fountains. The breakfast and snacks provided were excellent, and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Our bed was comfortable, but it was difficult to access it from both sides--too close to the wall. The water pressure was weak in our bathroom, so we will request a different room next time.Read more
When arrived, exactly when I had said, there was no one there, as the staff member had gone out for a sandwich! Very off hand, when he did return after 20 minutes. Staff not at all visible, very impersonal. Breakfast was poor - fancy and cooked to order, but not well executed. Such a shame, as most B&Bs I have stayed in in the US have been really pleasant and friendly.

Toilet and shower were very small but it did say it was.
Beautiful grounds. The cottage was extremely spacious and fully stocked with amenities. Warm cozy fireplace.
The breakfast options could have been a little better.
We love it ALL but the walls are thin and we could hear someone punding dough under our room at 7:30 am

Unique and serene, I adored the little touches everywhere. Felt beautiful and like I was in another country even.
Very nice location, beautiful historic building. We stayed in the main building. Great staff, tentative and very helpful. Excellent wine and snacks in the afternoon. Enjoyed a great breakfast on the terrace.
Requesting a tip when breakfast is included doesn’t sit well with me.
We loved absolutely everthing about our stay at the Simpson House Inn, the friendly welcome, the complimentary hors d‘œuvre and wine in the evening, the beautifully decorated rooms with great showers, the turn down service, the delicious breakfast on a sunny terrace in the morning - I could go on and would definitely recommand this place!

Beautiful 1874 Victorian house, that has been nicely restored. The grounds are nicely kept. House is looking like it needs some TLC in some areas the original owners sold house 3 years ago my only hope is that the new investors will take care of this historic house the way original owners did.
