Pros (+) The free breakfast included in our stay was probably the best breakfast we had in our three week trip of Italy.
Cons (-) Room did not have much lighting, but you are staying in a cave after all! Lugging our bags from reception was not terribly difficult but it would be nice if a porter service was available.

Pros (+) This hotel is so unique and beautiful; it made our stay in Matera so special and memorable. The rooms are all different but ours was spacious and comfortable; the breakfast is very nice and the staff super friendly and helpful.

Pros (+) Well what a beautiful, very special hotel in a cave! Lovely, extra touches and terrific table and chairs outside our door to watch our he passing parade. Staff too couldn’t have been more obliging especially Michaela who was always busy around the hotel, very obliging and who couldn’t have been more helpful.
Cons (-) Unfortunately, the shower was just so small it almost felt like we had our face against the glass. Felt difficult to maneuver in.
