the location is nice and it’s situated very conveniently close to Middleburg, VA
spa, while some personnel was friendly they were insecure and inexperienced, service not up to speed and not flexible. Staff didn’t come back to activity requests besides reminding them, pool was not heated in winter. Overall certainly far away from comparable upscale places and by far not a five star standard.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and holiday decorations, as well as the curated holiday menu offered at Harriman's Grill with my family. I am a returning guest and routinely use the exceptional spa services. I will treat my parents to a stay at Salamander Middleburg in February for their 57th wedding anniversary.
Unfortunately the bathroom door handle had been stripped and fell off the door. It was reported to the staff, and they made a note of it. I suspect it was repaired/replaced after we checkd out. That was the second time something like that happened during one of my stays. Preciously, a coat hook detached from the back of the door in the bathroom at Harriman's. I reported it at the hostess desk.
Everything! Gifted my daughter. and son-in-law with a sleepover and dinner at Harriman’s to kick-off het 38th birthday weekend celebration. The Salamander Resort and Spa was one of her “To-do’s” on her wish list. So I was happy to hear that her experience there did not disappoint.

Over priced, service not so good, lack of communication about car transportation to airport, I almost have to pay 1000 USD for 2 cars, 1 rude employee at restaurant 😭😭😭

You walk in and just enjoy the grandeur. The staff is relaxed and kind and it spills into the lodging. It’s expansive but close and it’s just a stunning place to behold.
The buffett was very good and the location and view was great.
The only issue with breakfast was that if you didn't choose the buffett you couldn't sit in the dining room.
