The property was close to Water St.
Unfortunately, the property didn't match the description and photos on the booking site. The unit is located on the corner of two busy roads, which was extremely noisy and far from the peaceful garden surroundings I was expecting.
-Close to some amenities. -The room was spacious. -Nice whirlpool. -Our host was quite responsive during our stay. -Comfortable bed. -The espresso maker was quite nice. -Plenty of towels.
-The actual mansion was quite quiet except for the amount of vehicular traffic in the neigbourhood. -No A/C or fan in the room, which meant one had to open a window for cool air, which meant listening to vehicular traffic into the night.
Everything was decorated so beautiful. Food was amazing and staff were great!
breakfast were delicious
felt it was too expensive
Beautiful property, lovely big room and an excellent breakfast, am looking forward to coming back.
It feels like to be home. Decoration and intimacy.
I think that we don’t need to ask to arrange the bed and the room . It should be automatically.
Absolutely loved the carefully and skilfully made breakfast each day, served in beautiful surroundings. Bed and bedding were luxurious, and rooms are so tastefully appointed. The artwork throughout the house is stunning, as are the many fine pieces of furniture and rugs, lamps and the like. A pleasure to be in such an atmosphere.
A third-floor room without an elevator is quite a chore when there are mobility limitations. But given the age and historic character of the house this is not easily fixed.
Beautiful turn of the century mansion. Gorgeous wood finishing and staircase. Large rooms and big modern bathroom
No elevator up to the 3rd floor
really pleasant staff - Mary was doing it all herself and was very friendly and informative. Really let us feel the Newfoundland hospitality
