Gorgeous setting, beautiful rooms right on the beach. Just incredibly beautiful. Egyptian manager was fantastic and special Easter breakfast was a touch of class. Great WiFi and amazing welcome from staff (coconut on arrival and chocolate and fruit in room was just superb). You felt really taken care of.
We had an incredible time and would reccomend to others. Staff were lovely and clearly keen to help, however attentiveness didn’t always translate into helpfulness. Some of that to be expected from a new hotel, but they would really benefit from implementing some standard processes around mealtimes. Very nice and clean hotel. The hotel is a new baby of 2 months old but i can tell that they are doing a great job. Great team. Very caring. Mohamed , issaac and charles are so lovely. Always available to make your stay perfect.
We had an amazing stay at Royal Mandarin. Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Appreciated the early check in. Staff ran to assist with our bags , served us fresh coconut juice and refresher towels upon arrival. Loved that the rooms we had, had direct excess to the beach. No mats to dry feet from beach sand so room always had sand. But apart from that very minor issue . Hotel, staff, location and food was all just perfection.Read more
The staff were so caring and pleasant. I have been to 3 x five star hotels during my trip and The Royal Mandarin was by far the most memorable. Our group of 4 felt very welcomed. Facilities are clean and modern. Bed super comfortable and even a smart TV. Ahmed the General manager and his team really outdid themselves. A special shout out to the Chef. Best food in ALL of Zanzibar.

That has been a wonderful stay The hotel is brand new, located in a nice area - 5 minutes walking from open air club and leisure centre.
