it was the first time, and the staff helped a lot in transferring our booking to a sister resort, the experience was lovely.

Everything! The hotel is amazing and perfect for kiddies because the beach in front of the family cabins are protected by large rocks, making the beach super safe for kids. I am cautious to say that some of the facilities are stuck in the 90s. But, everything fits with the island feel and I feel like if they updated things it would cheapen the whole experience. Everything was clean and working and that’s all that matters. There are a lot of mosquitos though - so wear mosquito repellent at night.Read more
Cozy !! Natural soak into the green
In one side the beach was pretty small cos of the strong tide in that side , but in the complex was very nice .. we were just moving around the island every day

Transportation to the resort is difficult.
This is a lovely little island with excellent swimming and snorkelling just in front of each bungalow. The resort has a diving school and arranges diving trips to see sea turtles, manta rays and much more. There is also a variety of water sports on offer. It was truly magnificent stay in Royal Island. We loved absolutely everything. Each guest has a standalone beach villa with your own sunbeds. Hotel staff is very humble and friendly. There were only few points I’d like to highlight. The hotel is located in a biosphere reserve and I was a bit disappointed to find motorized water sports entertainment ( such as jet ski ) which cause unnecessary noise. We loved our stay with the premium all-inclusive package. We would like to give a special recognition to Aahil and Shristi at the a la carte restaurant, Nawwaf at the buffet, Radhika and Sinta at the spa and Thesingurajan in the room cleaning.

I didn’t like the lies that some of the earlier guests said in regards to having mice running around the yard!! I didn’t see one cockroach during my stay!
