Great location, lovely restaurants and grounds. Pools were emptied, cleaned and refilled each night (sea water!). I loved the ladder access to ocean via the rocks, it was lovely to be able to swim in the ocean. We dined at Zoe Restaurant (amazing for sunset and the black risotto, huge portion for a starter) and Bono, both were great and lovely staff.
We gave up an ocean view deluxe room for a “wheelchair accessible” room. This was a massive disappointment. The room (although large enough) was not great for my husband. He couldn’t access the balcony (that looked out over the carpark!) because of the door tracks and the heavy armchair obstructing the door. Fabulous facilities & views. Room spacious, clean & immaculate condition. Great location with promenade, sea front location & easy bus to old town.

Absolutely not 5 star. There are a number of hotels that share the reception and other areas which feels like a mega large 4 star holiday resort, this is a marketing ploy which sells you a 5 star hotel with shabby 4 star facilities. Feel cheated.
The location is great. The rooms are big and very clean. They are cleaned regularly and the cleaning ladies are very nice. The staff is wonderful, particularly at the reception and at the breakfast. The South American man making omelette was extremely kind. The staff is probably the highlight of our stay. Breakfast was good. Massages in the spa were very good (again, very nice staff).
The food served at dinner was very low quality. We stayed for 7 nights and had a half-board. The food was not close to a 5 star hotel and ridiculously overpriced. Very few meat options and meat quite gummy. You could tell that the veggies and other food were not fresh but frozen. The soups were probably the pre-made ones. The staff, while friendly, could have spent more time describing what the hotel had to offer and what was around it

For a 5 star resort the headboard on the bed was a leather type fabric was very badly damaged.
Very nice hotel, worth paying extra for a room with sea view.
You can’t acces the hotel from the parking, so you have to walk around. And there’s no elevator from the lobby, you have to go up the stairs and walk the corridor with your bags to get to the elevator.
The hotel is part of a complex of buildings, isolated and well maintained, the common areas are beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast had variety and many options. The quality of the drinks at the breakfast was not corresponding to a 5-star hotel. The hotel is very large and it will be better if there were clearer instructions on how to reach certain parts of the hotel.Read more
