Great location.
We booked this property months in advance and let them know it was for our wedding weekend — which is exactly why I purposely booked the suite. When I arrived with three suitcases and a bunch of totes (all wedding-related stuff), the receptionist saw me struggling through the glass doors and didn’t even come to help. Gorgeous boutique hotel and great location
We were phoned to check our arrival but they did not mention that there was a private function so we’re unable to use the bar or restaurant
The historic building and location within Gouda were amazing. Lovely room with comfortable bed & shower.
There is no bar or restaurant available sunday till tuesday. This is very disappointing, knowing it is a high end hotel. At least have a bar available. Breakfast had 2 option; basic or 'a la carte'. basic gave minimum option, 'a la carte' contained the egg omelet/ pancakes, etc which you expect to be available in a basic breakfast. Not for double the price.
Courtyard was nice
Cocktails were poor, room showed signs of age, was charged for food and drinks we didn’t have. No gluten free options at breakfast.
What a fabulous hotel. My first Relais and Chateau peppery. A lovely 17th building with a great room and view. Behind the church close to but far enough away from the shopping areas. Very clean and I didn’t ind there’s no elevator! This is history! The staff is wonderful.
the location was excellent and the hotel was a converted traditional old Dutch building. Decor and attention to detail were next level.

The hotel is small and cute, like a fairytale. Very nice christmassy deco and very good located. Helpful staff.
It was very cold in the room, impossible to make it warmer. The common spaces were dirty, the stairs and hallway. The breakfast is very bad, nothing to choose from. The only bread was hamburger buns. Nothing reminds me of the relais & chateaux atmosphere and service.
Excellent big beds and good linens. A very good shower. The building is extremely charming and well renovated. Rooms are quiet and breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Position is great right in the centre and walking distance from a reasonably priced garage. Minibar is generous with quite a few complimentary options.
The interior is dark and the rooms are really dark- There is insufficient light practically everywhere in the room. Very little hanging and storage space so max for 1 or 2 nights. Some bedrooms have stairs in the rooms which I personally do not like at all. However there are rooms all in one space so you can ask for one.
