Pros (+) The convenience of the hotel to the rail station, and the theatre. The ambiance and feel of the hotel was different than a normal chain of hotels which made for a more pleasant stay. The staff on check in were very friendly and helpful.
Cons (-) Even though we were in a quiet corner of the hotel (room 230), the extractor fan in the bathroom appeared to be running all night, even with the door closed and the light off. As a light sleeper this was disturbing. This was mentioned to staff at checkout.

Pros (+) A great hotel—no complaints about the property at all
Cons (-) I found it quite disappointing that I was charged for an extra night, especially considering the hotel was fully booked that weekend. Our group’s travel plans changed three weeks before arrival, but the hotel did not allow me to cancel the first night for one of the rooms. Another point worth mentioning is the room allocation. We were given rooms specifically designed for guests with disabilities....

Pros (+) Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, loved our free upgrade to a room with a view. Ideally located for Lime Street Station, and Wetherspoons is right next door for a cheap breakfast.
Cons (-) Our Nespresso machine didn't work, but I wasn't expecting one anyway, so no big deal.
