Beautiful location. Stunning pool. 30 mins walk into the centre. Very lovely. Would definitely stay again. Room was comfortable and the views are spectacular.
Strange cupboard doors in bedroom hard to open. You have to look hard for the cutlery drawer but minor points!! Breakfast okay.
The accommodation sits high on a hillside overlooking the river and town of Mertola -- stunning views. It is in a very quiet location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment we had was spacious. It included a full kitchen and a washing machine. The purchased breakfast was good, but with few options.
The Wi-Fi connection was spotty in the room, and signage guiding you to the accommodation could be improved.

Bathroom in need of renovating. Sink was damaged and shower cubicle needs replacing.
Very spacious comfortable room - I opted for the one with the river view which was very quiet. The kitchenette was really useful as I was out birding really early every morning so I could make my own breakfast and keep drinks cold. Very clean and modern. Comfy bed. Very peaceful place and great view over the castle. Very good breakfast with local and fresh food.
The views, the staff , the location. You cannot beat it. Even though there was a power outage of all of Portugal, things were comfortable and serene spending the afternoon by then pool.
The view is fantastic!
Not much variety at breakfast and not fit for any special dietary needs. If you don’t request breakfast in advance, you get served something less than the other guests who reserved, e.g. supermarket orange juice instead of freshly squeezed.
Quiet location
Shower was leaking, so bathroom door was swollen and peeling.
Great location and view of castle. Helpful staff. Tasteful and homely sitting room. Nice outdoor seating area. A good breakfast just lacking eggs. Parking.
The toilet smells really bad. Bleach can be used foe the drains to clear the bad smell and deodorisers and air fresheners can be used in the toilet to combat bad smells. That's done in a lot of high rated guest homes.
Good location and the bed was comfortable. Nice patio.
The room had a bit of humidity damage, but nothing serious.
