Beautiful building, quiet pool area, sun beds spread out . Good advice on local restaurants.
Only being allowed to use 4 sachets of tea or coffee pods that were supplied in the room before then being charged for more, no milk in room. Nespresso machine provided in took , we were told to ask for hot water from reception for tea but when we did so we didn’t get any. Got one bottle of water on arrival then subsequent bottle had price tag on! Other hotels of same star rating in Portugal did n...Read more
Very peaceful staff excellent great location for everyone
Nothing
Excellent breakfast, eggs any style on demand, array of pastries, proper sausages, good bacon, good coffee. Very quiet ambience, lots of attentive staff, comfortable public lounges. Short walk to restaurants by the river and ferries to the beach.
Well its not cheap.
The food in the restaurant was excellent. Managed to be local and yet very tasty and it was a sign of a talented chef.
The lighting in the room was not good enough. It was rather gloomy.
The location, breakfast and staff
The size of the room
Love the location and the historic nature of the entire building and area. Just beautiful! We were upgraded to a suite with 2 rooms. It was by far the largest accommodations we had on our entire trip to Portugal and Spain. The front desk staff was fantastic- friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent recommendations for local activities and restaurants! Lovely pool area!
I wasn’t overly impressed with the breakfast. Although there was an extensive selection of food, it just wasn’t the quality that I expected. We ate breakfast out on the second day at a small French bakery with delicious coffee and croissants.
The location was excellent, the restaurant was very good and everything was very clean. Also, the front desk and restaurant staff did an excellent job managing things during the electrical blackout. The restaurant staff did an amazing job taking orders and serving everyone during the blackout.
I didn't get a wake up call I requested, but fortunately I woke up on my own.
We spent a wonderful weekend at a beautifully restored convent-turned-hotel in Tavira. The setting is peaceful and full of character, with original architecture, vaulted ceilings, and even an on-site archaeological site you can view through glass floors—such a unique touch! The rooms are elegant and minimalist, blending old-world charm with modern comfort. Breakfast in the cloister courtyard was a...
The only small area for improvement would be the pet-friendly setup—while the hotel warmly welcomes pets, it would be even better if there were more accommodations during breakfast or dining to make it easier to enjoy meals with our furry friends.Read more
Fantastic location and great atmosphere in old building. Lovely staff and great food. Easy stroll into town and great base to explore the wonders of the eastern Algarve
Bit difficult to find but Sat. Nav helps .
The place is beautiful and such a pleasure to walk through. The staff are attentive and professional, the rooms were wonderful, the location perfect, and the ability to park on-site cannot be under appreciated.
