Amazing views and hospitality! The staff were superb! They even upgraded our room upon hearing we were on honeymoon
The place is beautiful but with notable downsides for me. As a start, I didn’t realise that our room doesn’t separate the bathroom from the bedroom which was odd to say the least. The restaurant only had Americano coffee, and the staff lied to me about putting sugar in my cup
It’s right on the beach A bit for swimming but for whale watching - it’s got its own climate in the desert as there is a river delta and a lake

The grounds, the pool, the restaurant, the location next to the lagoon, and especially the staff were fantastic. We ate one dinner and several breakfasts at the restaurant and enjoyed everything; the chef is very talented and the service attentive. We used the kayaks to get the beach but didn't use the spa. The private lanai attached to the room was very nice.
The room was large but very basic. The bed was extremely hard and pillows and linens were pretty rough; we did not sleep well. The bathroom was functional but could use some updates to reach my expectations for a boutique hotel. We selected the room based on the fact it had a hot tub, but the temperature was rarely hot enough to be comfortable. Two nights out of five the temperature got up to 96F ...Read more
The staff could not have been nicer and more attentive. They made us feel so comfortable and took care of all of our special requests, even finding a stair-free route for my parents to take to their room. The setting is as good as it gets... we did yoga every morning in front of their picturesque lagoon, surrounded by the sounds of shore birds and the crashing waves on the beach beyond. And while ...
The only negative is the rough dirt road you need to traverse between the hotel and town. It's less than 10 minutes and not terrible, but good to rent a sturdy car. If you have trouble with stairs, it can be tricky because the main stair does not have a handrail, but there is a back way to get around it if necessary.Read more

Everything is great, lots of details well taken care off, like the fireplace in each room,repellent, kayaks to cross to the ocean. Rooms were big, nice, comfortable and modern
The service at the restaurant was not on point, good enough but with areas of opportunity. There is a price for nationals which we were not aware of, to apply you need to book it directly. The hotel doesn’t take Amex
The property is beautiful landscaped and maintained. It is situated on an estuary with views of the beach and the pacific beyond. The sunsets are stunning. The rooms all feel private and tranquil. The staff will know you by name and are very kind and helpful. The first time you arrive the road was a bit tricky but it’s all part of the adventure.
