Great authentic western high desert property
The heater/air unit was loud
It is such a cute and quaintly property, right out of the old west. So rustic and quiet. Just what we needed. Comfy bed, great staff, and in a gorgeous location. So convenient to pappy and Harriett’s next door, as we were there for a show.
Rustic cool vibe with beautiful views
It was all great!
incredible location. surreal little village which was built as a set for movies in the 1940s
it's not cheap!
A slice out of a western movie for sure. Rustic and not overdone. A broken bedside lightbulb was immediately and cheerfully replaced.
No coffee or hot water available in canteen, maybe a new hot water cooker and then all would be fine! Breakfast was not available locally until 10am but many options in 29 Palms.
It has so much history and is so peaceful. Everything is made to bring you peace and comfort and an immersive experience with the environment. Perfect place to stay if you’re seeing a show. I may go back by myself at some point to just do some writing. Note this is not a tv watching hotel—it’s rustic with history and a great staff. It’s a vibe :)
Water pressure was a little lacking but that’s about it.
This charming property is located conveniently enough to the Joshua Tree National Park but is an attraction in its own right. It is a pioneer village as its name implies so dust is always going to be a problem but it is easy enough to live with. Tom was extremely helpful to us especially as I had booked the wrong date and my wife ha a touch of flu.
There is nothing more that could have been done to improve the conditions and still maintain its character.
Comfortable bed in a traditional setting. A warm welcome.
The rooms were very cold. The heating is warm air blower which kept you awake if they were going all night. A little pricey.
Loved the cowboy vibe - bed and sheets were spectacular!
Not a great shower but can’t complain!!
