Beautiful location, feeling like a princess in a castle. Breakfast was excellent.
Lovely property
Hard to navigate.
Magical place! Great breakfast!
We were met in reception very cordially by Mr Dorado who allocated a lovely room in this historic building next to the Oropesa castle. There is a lot of history to be had as this was the seat of the Alvarez family and Viceroy Toledo (Peru- fame) was associated with it. The room was as expected, very comfortable and well appointed. If you didn't want to use the grand staircase there were two lifts....
The Parador staff were kind enough to alert us that there were building works being carried out. These were largely unobtrusive and the plan as I understand it is to move the parking area away from the main and beautiful building. Currently the parking area detracts a bit from the visual side of things, but not majorly so. There should be an improvement in this respect soonRead more
Huge rooms, we booked two rooms and had a whole wing to ourselves. Opulent lounges, looks like a stately home or royal palace. Free parking right outside the hotel or in the courtyard. Easy walking distance to the town square. Cafe/bar was good overlooking the castle, didn't use the restaurant. There is a good churreria just off the square if you don't fancy the hotel breakfast
No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Don't understand why some paradores have this and some don't
The restaurant is excellent, the building is beautiful and the location fantastic! The staff is very helpful! A wonderful place.
The swimming pool was closed :(
Well appointed rooms and beautiful communal areas
The rarified atmosphere and transactional service
The room. The quiet location. The history of the hotel / parador / castle. The breakfast. The Car parking facilities.
Nothing
Beautiful place, great location.
My room had a stone vaulted ceiling and had great views of the surrounding countryside below the castle. The parking in the hotel courtyard was secure and free.
It would have been great to use the outside swimming pool before breakfast, before the day got too hot, but the pool did not open until 11am during my short stay. If it could open for early swimmers that would be great.
