Staffs are extremely helpful and friendly Location is near zocalo but very quiet
Sewer smell from shower sink
Great venue in the heart of Puebla. The lobby is very nice but the rooms are slightly outdated. Still recommend to go
Air con is too old
Staff is excellent. Location is superb. The building is beautiful. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious. The view and the terrace are very nice.
The pool. It's small but the size was perfect for our 5-year old daughter. Sadly, it was very dirty. We could see the staff trying to clean it in the mornings, but something was off. The day we left, we could see that they had sealed off the pool. Also, the parking facilities were a headache. The hotel doesn't have a parking garage, so we had to park in a garage next door, where the hotel has an a...Read more
Loved the staff so helpful
The hotel is one of the loveliest properties I've stayed in - most anywhere in the world. It is palatial with a grand staircase leading to the slightly elevated next level - an ebony grand piano as the centerpiece with a cobalt stained glass ceiling. The rooms are immaculate, large, bed & bedding comfortable. My room had an immense (double picture window) view of the cathedral AND La Compania. The...
Honestly - everything was wonderful. Stay here!!Read more
The hotel itself, especially the lower part of the building, is fantastically beautiful. The breakfast was very good and in a nice quite fancy room. Beds comfortable, terrace had a nice view. Would book again for sure
Can't really think of anything
The location, the decoration and ambience its wonderful, also the quality of the food served. it takes you to another place.
The a/c in the rooms needs to be up dated ( they are a little old and miss features of the new ones) and the pool should be improved and be covered or under ceiling in a closed space and not in an open one, because the city almost always has ashes from the volcano that end up in the pool, and in night time is windy and cold, so you cannot enjoy it.
Liked - location, the apartment, the breakfast, the architecture of the hotel Dislike - the gym
Excellent location, clean, great staff, nice building and facilities. All good!
We spent 6 nights at the Palacio Julio Hotel, which is in a gorgeous building in a spectacular location 2 blocks from the central zócalo. The area is lively in a very good way but as soon as you go through the doors of this beautiful hotel, all the noises fall away. The public areas are housed in the historic sections of what used to be a private house and a private "palace." Furnishings in the pu...
1) We got a recommendation from the hotel for a tour to a couple of "pueblos mágicos" through an outfit called Gozamex Ecoturismo. We do NOT recommend this operator. The price listed on the brochure was 1,500 MXN per person, so 3,000 MXN for us as a couple. When the hotel specified that we wanted an English-language tour, they said that would cost an extra 1,500 MXN. No other tour operator we've e...Read more
