Very serene and peaceful location in a less touristic area of Portugal, well known for their wonderful mountain apple plantations. The 3 bedroom house we stayed is like a living museum but with all the modern amenities. Absolutely gorgeous property. The food prepared for us was one of the best and more complete we have ever had in a Booking.com accommodation. 5 stars!
Nothing.
The friendly welcome from the owners and their availability to help and to guide for a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Amazing homemade breakfast with local products. I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing holidays. On top of that the owner's are truly exceptional with historic knowledge keeping us entertained with Douro region stories. Visit. You'll not regret.
I liked everything. 5 stars stay.
The owners made the experience unbelievable. Remoteness of the tiny village was amazing with proximity to Douro Valley. Food and classic feel of the cabin were wonderful. Will never forget our stay here. Went out of their way to accommodate my daughter’s celiac needs. Could have stayed there much longer

Historic property 400 years old. They had done a really amazing job of updating it without losing the old world charm. Had a whole 2 bdrm cottage. Quite large and parking right next to it. Owners were darling couple who spoke a little English. Open their own beautiful to quests for a great breakfast and offered us port when we arrived. Gave us a lot of info on the area in a book they had prepared....
Didn’t realize it is so far up a mountain with “very” winding steep roads. Took about 25 minutes to drive up there from the river.Read more
Our room was large, comfortable and had amazing views over olive trees and vines. The hospitality was exceptional with all kinds of 'treats' like port and home made cake, offered everytime we returned to the main house. Breakfasts were a a feast of local produce and very convivial as everyone gathered together at an enormous dining table. Despite a language barrier we made ourselves understood as ...
You need to he aware that the property is accessed through narrow, winding roads. We loved the quiet quirkiness of the property but it may not suit everyone as you really feel like guests in the hosts' traditional, rural home.Read more
This a quaint, picturesque spot far from the hustle bustle of busier Douro spots. The entire area is beautiful. We had rooms in the main house rather than an apartment. The beds were comfortable and the decor old fashioned and quaint. The breakfast was excellent. We had fun with the pool table. We never saw a swimming pool, but it was too chilly to swim anyway. The owners are interesting and very ...
It was a bit of a drive to get to the tasting houses and the streets in the town are very narrow, but the area and all the drives are incredibly scenic.Read more
Absolutely beautiful location. The breakfast provided was beyond what I had expected and the host was very friendly.
Check in was a little difficult as we did not have any communication ahead of time and the office was not open when we arrived. A local helped us get in contact with the person who could check us in, and from there everything went smoothly.
Personel friendly, clean and accomodating.
We did not rent a car to go there and it was too far to go anywhere by foot. You need a vehicle to travel that region.
Beautiful property in medieval village. As authentic as it can get. Wonderful caring owners, tasty breakfasts cooked with fresh products. We got a very warm welcome and enjoyed our stay.
A little far away from Duoro valley, but it was worth the trip.
