Staff were excellent, clean & good value for money
Location was a bit of a walk from the tourist attractions.

Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Good bar area with plenty of seating and a good selection. Lovely bakery for breakfast. Well located near to the main station and 20 minutes from the airport. Only a short taxi to the main tourist areas.
The pool area is a little too small and the food offering wasn't the best around the pool. Service however was very good and staff very friendly.
The big king size bed was the most comfortable we've had so far this trip. The room had a ceiling fan and aircon. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff and service at this hotel was just fantastic! We ate at the restaurant several times as the food was so good.
The room was a little squishy for the 2 large suitcases to be easily handled (we only stayed 2 nights so did not wish to unpack) and the bath towels were big, heavy and scratchy, not what we expected based on the room and the hotel ambience.
The facilities at this hotel are absolutely amazing – beautiful spaces, great design, and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. However, the staff experience really let it down for me.
The reception team felt very pushy about upgrading our room, which made check‑in uncomfortable, and they didn’t come across as kind or welcoming – more on the snobbish side, unfortunately. Even around the pool, the staff could have been friendlier and more attentive. It’s a shame, because the hotel itself is stunning, but the service just didn’t match the level of the facilities.

Not enough loungers and shade around the pool
We arrived at 10am and were warmly greeted by a staff member who took our bags and walked us to reception. He poured us a glass of bubbly (never too early when you’re on holiday!), and to our surprise, we were able to check in to our room early — a fantastic bonus after catching a 6am flight. The hotel’s location meant most of the attractions we visited were about a 25–35 minute walk away. One night, we headed out for dinner at 8:30pm and it was still 43°C! We’re keen walkers, so we didn’t mind the distance and only took a taxi once — from the hotel down to the river — which only cost €10 via Uber.Read more
