Omni has refreshed the rooms, added a nice bar space in the atrium area (long overdue), and is always a solid Charlottesville choice in a great downtown location. It's my go-to when I'm in town.
It's just so expensive. I always have a perfectly satisfactory stay and the location I love... but dang. Always feels like luxury property prices, or at least too expensive for 'perfectly satisfactory'.

no grab and go food as shown on internet at coffee bar. room was tiny and shower leaked. view was industrial roof top and we were promised beautiful view. rugs were never vacuumed in the 4 days we were guests. pool area was in need of maintenance. no one answered the desk calls 4 times. vending machines out of drinks.
Great location , close to everything
The indoor pool was extremely small and not that clean, the outdoor pool also looked very small. The night club outside the hotel kept us up til two in the morning. So make sure you ask for a room not facing the street.

Clean, comfortable, modern room. Great location - walking distance to Amtrak - at the end of the pedestrian mall. Reasonably priced meals in the restaurant.
Pretty hotel within walking distance to restaurants. Comfortable beds. If visiting the university you’ll need a car or ride share as it’s not within walking distance. Our room was next to a wedding party so it was extremely loud in the middle of the night and early morning with people coming and going/loudly shutting doors. Did not get much sleep.
