Room was excellent- modern, large, lovely amenities, and comfortable. Close to indoor restaurant & outdoor patios. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Walking tour was so informative re history of the university, houses and architecture. Scones and tea a delicious, authentic bonus. Truly enjoyable. Much appreciated!
Menu was limited for me- a Canadian. Luckily I am not a vegetarian. Fruit outside the room much appreciated.

We recently stayed at this charming small hotel, set in a beautifully preserved old mansion just a 10-minute walk from the city centre. It has a warm and personal feel – a nice touch was seeing our name on a welcome sign at the entrance to the parking area. The room was prepared thoughtfully, with a baby cot already set up (though, as is often the case internationally, no baby quilt was provided)....
On the downside, while there’s a clear effort to meet modern high-end expectations, the junior suite we had was underwhelming in both size and ambiance – fairly dark and compact for the rate. The restaurant was another disappointment: vegetarian options were extremely limited, and requests for basic dietary adjustments were refused without explanation. The room was extremely well appointed and spacious. Heated floor tiles in the bathroom were a nice touch! The decor is contemporary and comfortable. We had breakfast in our room both days and ate a delightful dinner on the patio at the fabulous restaurant on site. We arrived on a Thursday and loved our room facing the church. However, we were unprepared for church bell practice that went on for at least an hour and occurs every Thursday evening according to the church's website. It was charming, but quite loud, and an advanced warning would have been appreciated!Read more
