The hotel is a lovely hotel in a lively neighbourhood. The rooms are in good order, a little small for three, but that is to be expected. The bistro is OK. The breakfast is average, helped by a slightly better cooked option than some others.
What really soured the experience of the hotel was a mistake we made. We bought one too many breakfasts, one for each morning at the hotel. But then realised we were on an earlier flight on the last day. So we asked for a refund. This is not policy for the hotel, even though we were 24hours in advance of the food. They gave us a credit note, 3/4 of the original price. This is a scam, as a refund w...Read more
Friendly hotel staff. Good location.
very good location, clean, modern, super nice staff
breakfast - had grilled fish and it was too salty, even when had with rice.
Location is near Seven, transport, Lawson, great restaurants, and the room space is really good for two people to stay!
Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. Nice library and laundry. Good amenities. Excellent location near Ueno Station
Very small room. Poor lighting including sole bedside Lamp.
Wonderful Stay! The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable — the best we’ve had in years! Perfectly located hotel — close to public transport yet tucked away in a quiet street. Breakfast offered a wide variety without overdoing it or wasting food, and included lots of healthy options like fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff were kind and helpful, even assisting us with forwarding our lugg...Read more

We pre paid for the breakfast and I this was a very good decision. You could choose to have a traditional Japanese breakfast (fish, miso soup, rice) as well as a more western breakfast or get only a western...Read more
Location was excellent. Dry close to Ueno Station.
The breakfast was expensive for what you got. We ate in the first morning but went elsewhere the next day.
+ A very elegant boutique hotel in a quiet part of Ueno. + Being a boutique (i.e. small) hotel the service is immediate and impeccable. + Excellent location, 5-10 minute walk to the action in Ueno and the main train station. + Top quality coffee in the bistro. + It was nice to sit and people-watch in the bistro as many well dressed, stylish Japanese people go there. + One night there was free jazz...
We were lucky to stay there in the low season so could afford the room rate but otherwise it is quite expensive. The bistro reflected this with high prices. But if you can afford to spoil yourself, this is the place!Read more
