Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Namú. This boutique-style hotel is beautifully landscaped, hidden away on the edge of Puerto Viejo yet perfectly located for the town and its many amenities. Breakfast was high-end à la carte and delicious rather than the usual buffet scrum for congealed scrambled eggs etc, although service was erratic and glacial in pace. We did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel...
Hotel would be worth a score of 9 were it not for one overriding issue, mentioned in other reviews: noise. The walls in our room were very thin, so we heard all the conversations and loud TV of our rather unsociable neighbours. This is also the first hotel we have stayed in where the reception offer ear plugs on account of noisy weekend parties in a local bar running into the early hours. Namú is ...Read more
Best hotel in Costa Rica, large rooms, very spacious, and a premium feel to everything. The pool was fantastic, and the massage in the spa is something to come back to a second time.
It might be considered a little expensive, but it is definitely worth it! We stayed in two rooms. Our second room that we stayed in had AC only in the sleeping rooms and not in the living room where the TV was, and there wasn't a couch to lounge on. But the hotel overall was amazing
I loved the exceptional service from the staff, especially Francine, Jessica, Agustin, and Sofia, who were incredibly accommodating. The food prepared by Chef Esteban was excellent, with each meal surpassing our expectations. The comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms, along with the immaculate hotel grounds, contributed to a truly enjoyable stay.
The only downside was the lengthy drive from SJO Airport, which can take almost four hours, especially with traffic and the paper wristbands you’re given when you check in.
The hotel is great: lots of green, the room was very comfortable (M4) with garden view, the bed was excellent, hot shower, coffee machine in the room, breakfast was amazing, staff was great. Location was perfect to go to the beach and town.
All was perfect
Everything was exceptional
Id just add a sofa to the villas, the chairs were not comfortable
Many (8+?) breakfast selections so you won't get bored on a long stay. Nice restaurant. Great cheerful service. Waking up to the sounds of the animals in the morning. The beds were very comfy. Beautiful cozy place with lots of areas to read and relax. The location is easy walk to all of Puerto Viejo. This place really stands out compared to anything else close to town. Child free.
There were some guests being far too noisy around the pool which ruins the otherwise tranquil respectful vibes it would have been nice for a manager to address that politely. Pre booked a massage in the morning for 5pm but didn't start until 5:30. Sauna isn't accessible when a massage is happening.
Everything was excellent at this property. The design of the hotel was exceptional including the design of the rooms. Nicest hotel in the area.
Nothing.
The facilities and customer service was outstanding
The cub board and the bathroom might be more styled, they looked quite gray and flat. The bed side was nicely done though. Also the fridge was quite loud
Absolutely stunning and very well maintained. Everything was spotless and it was a beautiful resort!
I cannot fault it!
Everything was perfect, the room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff was very professional and kind, and the amenities (pool, massages) were amazing.
Honestly everything was perfect, there’s not one thing I can complain about.
