Breakfast and coffee in the morning were cold
Very pretty hotel in a picturesque spot. The room was a good size with a bath and shower, attractive decor with a private outside terrace, although the gardens around the hotel are lovely. The restaurant is an absolute must as the food was delicious, good quality wine and very reasonable prices.
Our room was adjacent to the stairwell down to the restaurant and the sound proofing wasn't great, luckily the hotel was quite quiet and so this didn't prove to be an issue. Nothing else to complain about, it was a very enjoyable stay.
The hotel has lovely spots in the garden and our dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. The location of the hotel is great, a good opportunity to stretch your legs after a day of meetings, with a short tour to the castle. Unfortunately we had to check out before breakfast started.
A warmer duvet would have been the icing on the cake.
The hotel was very clean, relaxing and peaceful. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and an excellent evening meal and breakfast. We really enjoyed or stay and look forward to returning one day.

The setting is beautiful and the food at the restaurant was actually quite good. On the first evening, the waiter was friendly and helpful, and the room initially looked charming.
Unfortunately, the stay was ruined by poor hygiene and unprofessional service. I had cockroaches in the room on both nights, and staff/reception did not handle it properly—no apology, no compensation, and even a comment that it’s "normal" in nature. Good heating in the room, mosquito repellent in the room, but no slippers, electric car charger, convenient parking, especially if you decide to go up to the fortress (without a hotel reservation, sometimes access there is closed), Very beautiful area around the hotel, super green and lots of shade in the heat
We had dinner at the hotel (reservation separately), chose the set menu, I didn't eat anything from what was offered. A hint of haute cuisine, beautiful presentation of dishes, but unfortunately, everything was tasteless to me. My husband also didn't like the dishes and the offered wines. Excellent junior staff. Lovely ambience . Rooms have comfortable beds. Good facilities. A kettle and a fridge and a bath 👍. Beautiful grounds with ample parking.
There is no bar service at certain times or a bar area in which to sit. They need to seriously “up their game” in the restaurant. Cold food , raw , cold plates . The chef seems more interested in the appearance of the food rather than the taste. Avoid if you can.
room service is nice, but i would like to see more variety
The attitude of the staff was impressive. When we asked for help with anything, the response was immediate.
This time we were unfortunate with the cold and rainy weather. Mont Samt offers out door experiences which are very nice when the weather is warm and sunny.
