Cons (-) Our room had a terrible smell. Hotel management couldn’t do anything except offer free breakfast, which won’t help with the smell.

Pros (+) Not located that close to the primary tourist area, but as I was in Amsterdam on business it was perfect as it was a reasonable walk from the train station with a 24 hour reception.

Pros (+) Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and professional staff. Nice size clean room. Close to river, canals and just 15 minutes walk to central station. Very nice touch to be given wine, card and balloons on my wife's birthday.

Cons (-) Check in was not welcoming Room was said to be with canal view which in Amsterdam is expected to be a typical canal view. Here it was a view on some sad canal with on the other side some query industrial site or warehouse area. In short not the kind of view you expect. The location is practical but the street not really nice.
