Very clean and modern design. Massive shower was nice. Only steps away from the city wall and the historic part of town. Also enjoyed the complimentary cafe amenities and made myself an espresso in the morning. Would stay here again no question. Staff was pleasant and easy to converse with in English.
Had the air conditioning set at 18 degrees but never felt that cool.
Shower leaked bad Huge mess
We did not realize this was a Michelin Star Hotel AND Restaurant! We loved our room at the Alter Ego. There was a common kitchen area with a fun farm table and supplies to make snacks or even a meal if you wanted! We entertained some family for a birthday celebration with appetizers and champagne. The owner [Christian Mittermeiers] and main chef for the restaurant made sure the staff had a bucket ...
Excellent front desk, great location, plenty parking
No elevator, which isnt great when your an international traveler with large baggage
The staff was very friendly, and the location is amazing—right next to the old city, which made it easy to explore.
However, the room was quite small, and having the bathroom and toilet right next to the bed with no doors was definitely a downside. It didn’t feel very private or comfortable because of that.

The floor wasn’t vacuumed well prior to our stay. We noticed lots of particles, etc., on the floor. Because of its strange design, it was difficult to wash your hands and face in the sink. The large glass door that is used to close off the shower and toilet is difficult to move. Check in was weird since there’s no hotel personnel at the actual hotel. Great location just outside the old city walls. The room was clean and modern. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety of food. Parking was ample beside the hotel.
There are a lot of stairs but we managed 😊

The hotel is located 1 min walk from one the main gates to the old town. The room was very modern and stylish, beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Excellent staff and it’s a boutique style hotel which we loved. The breakfast was excellent and had a home prepared vibe! Beautiful property.
