Pros (+) It felt well cared for and easy to get around.
Cons (-) As a woman with 4 tattoos, I wasn’t allowed to use the onsen. This was very disappointing.

Pros (+) Room was good, big enough to handle all my stuff. Great breakfast, even better than in the other Mitsui Garden hotel that I have visited.
Cons (-) Distance from the station is around 20 minutes walk, but that is of no concern if You take a taxi or a bus.

Pros (+) Modern western style rooms but still with Japanese character. Restaurant was good for the buffet breakfast and for the evening meal. Location is excellent for walking to the Palace, Gardens, Temples & a great fresh produce Market with restaurants. I had the Japanese breakfast option in the market and it was very good.
Cons (-) Hotel parking is not onsite. There is a parking bay at the rear entrance to drop-off and pick up but the discounted parking is a few streets away in a quite big car park.

Pros (+) We loved our stay at Mitsui Garden, the room was nice and one of the biggest we had in Japan. The restaurant was also excellent both for breakfast and happy hour.

Pros (+) Great location. We were able to walk to many major attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet. The bath on the top floor was a nice vista point of the city and the mountains.
