Serve yourself breakfast. No room service. Queueing to order evening meal, no full table service. Basically ,pub with quirky rooms. Using minimum staffing to save money. Cut backs not good considering the number of old people with disabilities. Needs sorting !
It’s a beautiful hotel fantastic location the food was excellent and the staff friendly will be visiting again in July
They have (at last) reintroduced table service for evening dining. And the Rotunda bar is open again too.
It was a very busy weekend in Morecambe and the dining/bar area were piled high with dirty crockery cleared from tables in the restaurant. The “reception desk” (ie one end of the public bar where anyone passing can see information on the screens and guest paperwork lying around) is mostly unstaffed and there are long delays at any times other than peak Check-in/out times.
Having to get your own tea and coffee at breakfast Dangerous for older people as people spilled drinks on the wooden floor.
The food quality at night could have been better - the hotel looks tired in some parts a touch of paint and window cleaning would help - it was a sunny day so when we arrived there must have been lots of people taking advantage of drinking outdoors but as the tables hadn't been cleared we were unable to use the outdoor area think the hotel could invest in more staff - I think in the past this hote...Read more
food was nice
mattress and pillows was to hard for my partner and who suffers from back and neck pain. also the room did not have a shower cap
Loved the iconic building. the food was really good and fresh. The staff were absolutely lovely. The views were magnificent.
Quite long queues at the bar, but understand that the staff were doing their best, always polite and helpful.

Was red hot during the night. Step in bathroom kept stumbling
All went well - except the booking did not get our numbers right. We booked 3 double rooms for 3 couples but The Midland had only 4 people arriving and charged us more, which was disappointing. They said it had happened a few times recently?
Booking.com could have got our booking correct which would have saved us a disappointing and more expensive start to our short break.
