Pool area is amazing , staff were beatiful.
There was a strong sewage smell in the bathroom, which discouraged us from using the bathtub.
We had the most amazing stay and the staff were so friendly, exceptional service. The rooms are perfect, breakfast and dinner were 10/10. Really peaceful and relaxing.

Metland Venya was an exceptional hotel. We stayed in Spring so slightly out of peak season. The highlights of the hotel are both the location and the staff. The location is gorgeous, with the entire sitting in a ravine and therefore facing a beautiful jungle on the other side of the ravine, with the sounds of birds and plenty of greenery to enjoy. The free, daily resort activities could use improvement. We enjoyed morning yoga with a yoga teacher, but the other activities were taught by resort staff who - we felt - were not fully trained to deliver a class.Read more
the bed is comfy
the way where we are walking to our villa is always smelly due to passing the trashing room sometimes what you order to the receptionist e.g. extra water, they do not bring it immediately to your room. You need to wait more than 20 minutes the portion of the food in the restaurant is small, and the option menu is limited
The room was very comfortable. The food was below average, but the environment and the jungle in the backdrop were stunning. Just a warning to people using the bathrooms... everyone on the inclinator can see into your bathroom very clearly....

We were moved to a different room during our stay, but unfortunately, both rooms had a slight odor from the bathroom. However, the staff did their best to address it and ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible
We were impressed with the amazing jungle and quietness. Very relaxing. Wonderful views, especially from the main pool. The staff were all friendly and accommodating to all our needs, especially Rae. Nothing was any trouble what so ever.
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and our room was beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean. We loved spending time by the pool — it was relaxing with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and the backdrop of the forest was perfect!. The resort shuttle was also very convenient, running into town every couple of hour...
The prices for food, drinks, and spa services at the resort are noticeably higher compared to options in town, but the convenience of having everything on-site is a definite trade-off. Our private pool was quite cold, as it didn’t receive much sunlight during the day, so we chose to swim in the main pool instead, which was lovely. Great hotel, lovely staff. Amazing and quiet location outside of busy Ubud. Easy access to Ubud center by free shuttle. Different activities each day of the week.
