Staff at the Mestizo Hotel were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We were very comfortable and had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect and allowed us to get to places easily. The rooms and common areas were very nice. We especially enjoyed the rooftop patio. We will be back!

The location is great - walking distance to all the places of interest, restaurants etc. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The deluxe room was dark with no view from the window. The breakfast was bad and the server was touching the food on the plate with his bare hands trying to hide the burnt side of a cookie. We did not like that.

Staff was terrible. Breakfast was awful, and not served til after 8 am. Coffee was like drinking warm water, and not served until after 8 am. Staff seemed to be put out by any requests, although we were the only ones there… Airport shuttle was late, and they tried to charge me twice for it ( funny thing is that it was different prices ). This hotel was a huge disappointment. The staff struggled with good communication, even though the language wasn’t a big problem. They didn’t listen, or follow through with anything. The language barrier would have been easier to overcome at breakfast , had they offered the English menu that was sitting in the lobby the whole time. Just laziness, and not reading their customers. The location and the property itself were amazing. We loved the alcoves and seating area, especially the roof. They accommodated an early shuttle ride for us and even had simple yogurt parfaits ready that we took along. The night shift desk host was extremely friendly and helpful. Only six rooms increases the boutique feel!
It feels like a “new” hotel still working out a few kinks - but none of those caused a negative experience for us. There was a strange confusion on our reservation, but we worked it out. I’d easily stay here again and encourage others to try it!
A very small, private property perfect for resting. I love how quiet it was.
