A super charming property at a great location!
You can hear people walking and talking upstairs

We could hear music and sounds coming from the basement which impaired our ability to get to sleep
I loved the decor and all the special touches that went into the design of the house. I also love that we had reservations for dinner and they knew who we were and took amazing care of us when we had a drink at the bar and then let us know when our table was ready. It felt very welcoming and comfortable.
I was a little chilly in my room at night but I grabbed a blanket from the closet to help out. Otherwise it was great.
My daughter and I visited Picton for a few days away to explore the county and stayed at Merrill House. I loved the little touches that made our stay relaxing and special. The location was great because you could walk anywhere in downtown Picton for food and shopping.
My daughter was in the Futuristic Room and her fridge handle was broken and cut her hand. Her bed was very high and not comfortable. The decor was creepy and weird. My son had the Lithograph Room and they both had issues with their bathrooms. When you try to sit on the toilet your head hits the clear glass shower wall. Perfect location, so clean and modern while still echoing the historic nature. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely return.
Honestly this is more of a me problem but I saw someone on TikTok say they had a haunted experience and when we walked into our room i realized we were in the exact same room as her, so i had a really hard time settling and falling asleep because I got in my head. Lovely interiors and friendly staff. Upgraded on arrival to a lovely room. Great attention to detail and welcome gifts. Would definitely stay again.
Wasn’t much to do in the area, but we think we came in low season. Would be better in summer.

Merrill house was in the perfect location! A short drive to vineyards we wanted to visit and in an ideal location along Main street making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Filled with so much character and felt so cozy.
