Incredible dinner, fantastic hospitality and great room
The staff of the Matsuzakaya Honten were truly incredible. The whole experience felt like real luxury. The onsens were beautiful and clean, both private and public -- though every time we were in the public one we were the only ones there, despite the place being booked. We were very happy with our 1-night stay! The service, food, amenities, and the onsen were incredible. We wished we had another night!
The driving to the location was a bit precarious at times, but we were very lucky that we had arrived just moments before it started snowing heavily. All roads were not passable unless it was after the snow plows and if you had snow tires.
