Huge room with 3 double beds, nice breakfast, great location
The location is great and the hotel has an amazing garden / patio. From the restaurant / breakfast area there is a great view over the city of Sucre.
The staff is poorly trained. We were booked into a stone cold room which was a problem with outside temperatures being around 10 degrees. We had to inquire several times with no assistance being initiated from hotel staff. Breakfast: despite the high number of staff on site, there were never clean tables when we arrived for breakfast. Since there was only one table for a bigger group, we always ha...Read more
Lovely grounds and facility. It's really quite beautiful to walk around and explore the different rooms. The included breakfast had a made to order eggs station, which was really nice. However, during busier mornings the wait was quite long since I think there was only one chef responsible for everything. It would have been nice to have some pre-made hot options for days when you want to move fast...
Initially concerned since the property reaches out via message to ask if you would pay in cash / USD, and they offer a pretty lousy conversion rate (1USD to 7 boliviano; whereas the market rate is 1USD to ~12 bolivianos). The rooms largely face inward towards the courtyard. So many rooms face the corridor or the courtyard, which could be annoying if you want more privacy. It was never noisy, which...Read more
Lovely building and garden. Spacious room overlooking courtyard. Staff exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.
I really liked the overall atmosphere and decoration. It really has an historic atmosphere to it whilst still remaining very comfortable with regards to the amenities. Next to that, the staff was very accommodating with our requests like getting an airport taxi, getting an early check in (on a slight extra charge) after a long night bus.
Comfy beds, neat location on edge of old town and beautiful gardens with a rooftop. Excellent breakfast and lots of hot water.
The late checkout is a bit steep with half a day rate but we still opted to have our room until 6.30pm so could shower before our night bus.
The hotel used to be the Brazilian Consulate and is quite simply gorgeous inside and out. The period features are wonderful and the hotel is beautifully maintained with great attention to detail on display everywhere. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. I loved the atrium / courtyard filled with trees and colourful potted plants and the many different communal areas where you could relax, read ...

Incredible house in the center of town. Beautifully decorated, full of charm, comfortable, and with many outdoor spaces to relax. The rooftop for the sunset was a pleasure to enjoy. We had the room on the ground floor with a view of the beautiful fountain. It was amazing!
Nothing to add

They are charging a different price for US dollar. In booking I reserved a room for $140 and they charged me $218 in my credit card. I talked to the manager and they fix the problem by paying in cash.
