The delicious food within a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere

Location was fabulous, overlooking the estuary with the rising hills dotted with sheep behind the pool house. As a vegan the breakfast was adequate. The bread wasn't great. Used to sourdough not pre sliced white bread. Tofu scramble would have been nice. The tea was good and there was my preferred plant based milk.
The a la carte vegan menu lacked protein and could have been more filling. I had taken for granted there would be a walk in shower for my 86 year old mum. Shower over a bath is too dangerous for her to use. She was unable to shower in the morning. Luckily my mum could manage the stairs, I'm not sure what we would have done if not?
From the moment of arriving at the Manor we knew we were going to be treated with outstanding service. We were not disappointed. Alex greeted us with a big smile & nothing was too much trouble. Jacob, Salar, Andrew, Artime and the sommelier were looking after us from start to finish. Highlight was meeting Michael Caines who was absolutely charming. Beautiful art installations were a sight to behol...

The staff here are exceptional in their service delivery and approachability. Recruitment and attention to detail here are stellar. Accommodation offers great value for money and the detail in each room is appreciated. Whether you dine as a casual or fine dining guest you feel special. You will be valued even if you pop in for tea as part of a visit to the grounds which roll towards the estuary an...Read more

This hotel is beautifully place, in the perfect position to enjoy the view of the estuary, and the setting sun over the vineyard running down to the river. The room we had faced this view. The layout of the room was both attractive and functional, and the shower was powerful. All members of staff were great, very helpful and pro-active, particularly Gareth at the front desk. The facilities are als...
Our room's plumbing was somewhat antiquated. We had 5 pips (yes, as in grapefruit pip sized) coming out of the bathroom area taps! No idea how they would have gotten there. The toilet had a poor flush and the bath, very nice, and deep, though it was, took ages to drain. If two wanted a bath then sharing (together, or just the water) would be the only option to waiting for 20-minutes.Read more
