We stayed at Opus for the first and third week of a three week holiday in Portugal last autumn. The location is excellent with only a short walk to restaurants and shops. Nice big room with a very comfy bed. Close to the city center.
Breakfast is excellent, definitely worth adding to your visit as it surpassed that of anywhere nearby; staff were lovely especially loved Fatima and the location was so good

Our experience at this so-called "luxury hotel" was a nightmare. Marketed as a lighthouse-turned-hotel, it’s actually a filthy, poorly managed guest house with zero hygiene standards. The location and the cleanliness
The heating didn't work, and no thick blanket provided eventhoug I have requested next morning as I couldn't sleep whole night. The cushions had a very bad smell but were replaced.The bathroom had a weird smell but once leave the door open it vanishes. I left 8 in the morning and no one was at the reception to hand over keys. For the money I paid the service wasn't given.
Very friendly staff (especially Fatima), welcoming and comfort place. A lot of wine (2k+ bottles) and the owner helped us to choose nice local one. The location was great. It’s close to almost everything. About 5 mins walk to the Marina and Old Town and other attractions. The staffs were polite and helpful to our queries. Staff and ambience were wonderful
The location was great , comfortable clean room, friendly staff and overall a great stay
Some of the public areas were scruffy with ongoing work and unusable hot tub also a lot of stuff ( plant pots, chairs, old tables etc) making it feel cluttered.
