Without doubt, the lovliest hotel we have ever stayed in. Perfect!
The bedroom was spacious and the staff nice
It looked quite tired, the paintwork in our room needed a good clean. The pool bar was never open, (we always had to go and find someone) there were never any towels available for the pool, a glass of wine was never a consistent size. Also, no consistency with nibbles with drinks. We paid for valet parking but on the last day when we asked for a specific time for the car to be ready as we had a fl...Read more
Lovely pool area and courtyards to relax in. Our room was also very nice, spacious if a little heavy on "aromatherapy" smelling salts!
The breakfast was quite poor quality and value for money. I would have rated the hotel and our stay higher if it wasn't for the poor selection and quality of breakfast. I travel a lot hence have many comparisons to assess it against - this needs to improve for €27/head.
We actually struggled at times to comunicate w personnel as not everyone was speaking English. Nevertheless - those who were - proved to be exceptional in their welcoming and very helpful
Tasteful and interesting use of old buildings. Beautifully styled. Lovely friendly staff.
Breakfast was a bit pricey.
Great setting and the hotel has been beautifully restored. It’s calm and welcoming. The breakfast was ok but the evening meal was absolutely delicious and worthy of a Michelin star restaurant, we don’t often say that as we are vegetarian. The staff were very helpful. We had a great stay and would definitely rebook if we come back to this area.
Having to pay extra for breakfast.
The village itself is quaint. We loved the pool and lounger area of the hotel. There are 3 restaurants in the village (plus the village BAR, which is a MUST to experience). The local restaurants all close on a Wednesday, so we ate in the hotel, which was fine but not as good as being out in the village (in our opinion).
Breakfast was disappointing for the price they charge. We felt they could do much better. Personally I wouldn't bother paying extra for it. We were in a room with a terrace which was great but the bathroom was up about 3 or 4 steps, so take a torch with you for night-time loo trips!. The room is up 3 flights of stairs. Shower is in the bath. Not an issue for us but a problem if you have mobility i...Read more
Great location, very nice rooms and amazing breakfast
very clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere
the poolside bar was outrageously expensive. 14 euros for a pint of beer is extortionate, 9 euros for a bottle of sparkling water is equally bad. Its such shame as it put a negative spin on our time by the pool. it seems like they are trying to rip off the tourists as they know there aren’t too many other options in the area
