The cosy bar advertised did not exist and in fact, although this is a gorgeous country house hotel, there was absolutely nowhere for guests to relax except for their room - and we were not alone in finding this unacceptable. Brilliant hotel, top quality, spacious room which was super quiet and clean. Nice attention to detail. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was one of the best meals I've had for a long time, (Half duck with dumplings and red cabbage). Food arrived surprisingly quickly. The waiter was chatty and fun to talk to, and the relaxed atmosphere was great with the accordion player in the background...

The restaurant was excellent and the food was first rate. The beds were comfortable and it is worth asking for the new part of the hotel. Breakfast was good too,!

As a single traveler In the restaurant I was put in a corner near the exit door which opened every five minutes. The staff in the restaurant was really friendly

Very nicely decorated- traditional, great rooms, food and breakfast. Spacious parking and in a nice quiet location. Well worth a stay if you are visiting the area. Dusseldorf 20 mins away.
Very nice layout overall. Room was quite large, very quiet and apart from the odd type of pillows they use, comfortable. Reception was good, very accommodating and the laundry lady was exceptional in helping me out with a few domestics. Very easy to get to and parking was on site, in front of the restaurant area. Breakfast was very good. Wifi signal was excellent.
The breakfast staff were a bit brusque ...... maybe some customer training could help remedy this.

Lovely staff, quiet room on ground floor with doors leading outside (good for dog), dog-friendly, good dinner and breakfast, nice countryside setting.
