Great location Friendly staff
Small room TV didn’t work No fridge
The family room was brilliant and ideal for us. Plenty of space and a good layout. Breakfast was delicious.
Not a dislike just a suggestion. There wasn’t any plug sockets in the double room for us to use. There were some in the other room but not particularly helpful when you need your phone charging and being your alarm in the morning. Also, this is more personal preference but instead of a shower curtain that can get in the way, would a glass door not look better and give clearer room when showering.
Brilliant all round, well recommended
Stunning location and friendly and welcoming staff. The menu was quite varied and the food was nicely cooked and presented. Having a restaurant on site meant that all meals could be taken on site - which was an advantage given the relatively remote location of the hotel. Parking was great and guests can walk around the lake and grounds at their leisure.
Two slight gripes; most of the accommodation is chalet style (which is not clear from the website) so getting to and from the restaurant requires a bit of a walk) and the walls are paper thin. Even though they are single storey the noise tranmission between rooms was quite disturbing.
We came to Devon for a flight experience near by the hotel; and it was amazing. We arrived 30 minutes early and they checked us in, no problem & no questions asked as the room was ready for us. The staff are really accommodating and lovely, they assisted us in all queries and were always ready on time. We ate at the on site restaurant - The Dabbling Duck. The food was good, the service was amazing...Read more
The breakfast and evening meals were very good. It was enjoyable walking around the grounds
Room was tired and the bathroom was tatty. A bit dark and gloomy.
