The property is well maintained inside and out, with comfortable soft furnishings and warm decor
Staff were very helpful, professional and smiling and went beyond the norm to please
Not my taste in furniture but notwithstanding it was well curated vintage Victorian furniture
True 5-star accommodation and service. Wonderful location and views from the farm. Rooms were amazing with classic antique furniture, incredible comfortable beds and bedding and very welcome AC in the summer heat. Swimming pool also provided some relief. Very comfortable room full of antique furniture and lots of space. Staff were very polite. Farm tour very interesting. Fillet of Ostrich beautifully cooked an very tender. I was made to feel very welcome apart from incident on first evening explained in other section. Lovely view from the room.
On the first evening for dinner I was shown to a table away from the main dining room enclosed on 3 sides with no view of anything not even the other diners. As my first time away as a widower I found this very upsetting and told the staff this was not the way to treat a singleton, especially someone recently widowed. A beautiful homely traditional hotel with a relaxed atmosphere run by a team of such attentive staff. Attention to detail here is second to none with china cups and teapots, everything is served beautifully. The food is superb and stay for dinner as you won’t get a view like it anywhere. We loved our stay and wouldnt hesitate to come back.

No bikes as per web description Major disappointment for us . Beautifully appointed property. Very comfortable bed, with spacious bathroom. Very pleasant and attentive staff.
Bathrooms were nice
NOT value for money. Food below average. Wear and tear all over. No charm. Pool area below average. Service very average. No outdoor eating. In general no finess or attention to detail. A 3 star place with a 5 star price tag.
