This place was one of the best hotels i've ever stayed. The owner's reception was heartwarming. This hotel has a gallery/ museum inside, and it was amazing to have Pierre as a guide. Rooms were comfortable and had all the things we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Just felt like home. Would give this place much higher rating than 10 if possible)).

Lovely large room and magnificent bed with choice of cushions. Beautifully and with much light restored older hotel - as exaclty it should be in the lovely to visit and culturally famous Barbizon village. On the edge of the forest. Place for a two weeks retreat with good books or a pencil.
A slightly larger desk or table in the room would have been nice.

Location in middle of Barbizon. 50km from South of Paris. Super spot for rock climbing, hiking, mtb, gravel, road biking... Quite neighborhood.
The place looks like an old French Auberge but for a 3 stars it’s not reaching the standing. Don’t ask for the room 11-15, worst ones.

The location is good and the auberge has a quirky charm.
This is not really a hotel, more of a bed and breakfast. The bathroom was very tired. Reception was only open a small proportion of the day. Our room was not cleaned during our stay .
