Nature, professional stuff, cleanliness
Only a Michelin restaurant option for dinner, which hardly suits younger kids. There’s a cafe on site, but it has only low coffee tables. And you are not allowed to order dishes from cafe to a restaurant, although they share a kitchen.

Due to building works being carried out on the site combined with awful rain it was very muddy and difficult to use the paths and stairs to access main building

What a beautiful hotel, stunning location In Alentejo, really enjoyed our visit to the local town. The accommodation was superb, huge open style room and lounge area, huge bath! lovely shower, super comfy bed. We had a terrace and if you wanted your fire lit they would come and do that. Very nice complimentary bottle o wine in the room too with my name on it. Place was very quiet and peaceful.
Maybe if the hotel had a gym? but otherwise very nice hotel, highly recommend.
We booked a two-night anniversary getaway, hoping for a quiet escape from city noise, but were met with active construction. Instead of peace, there was constant noise near the lake. Muddy pathways led to dirt tracking into our room, and despite being out from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., it wasn’t cleaned until 3:30 p.m., making it hard to relax during the day. Points that were very bad and disappointing about the property: - Don’t know if the management of the hotel does any maintenance constructions, as it’s visible the level of humidity on the walls in several parts of the common areas, with peeling paint. - In the bathroom of the room there was a lote of limestone, as a result of the humidity. - In the breakfast you could see a lot of flies landing d...Read more
